CONSUMER INITIATIVE FUND POSTING:
COMMITTEE MEMBER
The Consumer Initiative Fund was established in 1995 to promote dignity and self-determination for Consumers of the mental health system.
Duties Include:
v Ongoing liaison work via phone and/or email, and meetings with Project Managers.
v Modeling individual recovery and wellness.
v Participation in CIF events.
v Participation in weekly Committee meetings.
v Review proposals and criteria for potential projects.
v Review VCMHS Policy and Procedure documents.
v Monitor development and implementation of projects.
v Facilitate evaluations of projects.
v Advocate for continued opportunities for Consumer driven programs.
Terms of service:
v 2 years of service with an additional 2 years after review.
Preference given to Consumers with previous committee or group work experience and a commitment to self-education and community outreach.
STARTING DATE: TBA
v $220.00 per month – Consumer contract
