Work-Study / Internship with local environmental organization
Green Collar Association is a member-based organization that marries the needs of business with those of the environment. We provide our members with information and opportunities in education, employment, commerce, and advocacy in fields that have a net benefit on the environment.
Our offices are located in Vancouver, in Canada and Washington, in the US. We have relationships with environmental organizations and think-tanks such as Blue-Green Alliance, Apollo Alliance, David Suzuki Foundation, 1-Sky, USGBC, AASHE, 350org, Center for American Progress, and Eco Justice. Our membership consists of approximately 80,000 individuals, non-profits, governments, and businesses.
We publish content related to environment and industry on our blogs as well as within our newsletter (with distribution of approximately 100,000). The successful candidate will take on responsibilities in writing, editing, and publishing. Specific duties will include:
· writing, managing, editing and, publishing blog content
· writing and editing website copy,
· preparing articles for our monthly newsletter
We seek a student for a work-study or internship, working out of our Vancouver office, with the possibility of future employment after the duration of the internship is complete.
