Reporting to the DHRN Director of Programs, the Communications Officer is an energetic and creative individual who has a broad range of communication related responsibilities with the Disabilities Health Research Network (DHRN). These include performing a variety of public information and outreach services including the writing or editing of articles, news releases, reports, KT and other communications materials, developing & conducting public presentations; liaising with a variety of organizations, individuals and working with various media (video, web-based technology, computer desktop publishing, etc.) The Communications Officer will be responsible for coordinating many DHRN program productions and events, and maintaining the website, including updates and content editing.
Qualifications & Experience Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline required (communications, marketing, public relations or journalism preferred). Minimum of 3 years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Disability health related work or life experience desirable.
